New this year: the online auction!
Browse items and bid online! You'll find a range of items including restaurant gift cards, tickets to local tourist attractions, health and beauty services, and more.
There will also be a special category of items called pre-bids. Bidding for these will start online but the items will not be sold until auction night, when the highest online bid will become the starting bid.
Thursday, March 8 through March 19 at 8pm
Sign in and browse the categories listed on the left side of the screen. The first time you place a bid, you will be prompted to enter your credit card information.
You will receive an email whenever you've been outbid unless you unchecked the "Notify me when I've been outbid" option under "My Account." (If you did uncheck this option, go ahead and check it now so you know when you've got competition!)
To be sure to win an item, enter a maximum dollar amount higher than the Next Bid amount. This way the system registers a bid for you at the next bid step, and continues to do so until the maximum you entered is reached.
Your credit card will be charged within a few days of the end of the auction.
Old School Prom: Auction Night!
Make sure to get your tickets! Tickets are $80 if purchased on or before March 15. After March 15 they are $89.
There will be dinner buffets and food stations, as well as an open bar. Food stations will be available from 6:15 until 8:30.
You do you - that’s the idea! Be as creative as you like - come in old school prom attire, come as a character in your favorite movie prom scene, or wear your regular Saturday night clothes. Anything goes!
We strongly recommend carpooling and transportation services such as Uber and Lyft. Please park in the spaces first, and then on the curbs.
You'll find some items up for bid on tables around the gym - each will have a bid sheet so you can place your bids. Most of the items on the silent auction tables will be Teacher Treasures, special opportunities to spend time with CV teachers outside of the regular school day. There will some other items such as art, jewelry and theme baskets created by parents in selected grade levels.
All auction attendees who registered for qCheck will be assigned a bidder number in advance. Pick up your paddle in the gym lobby when you arrive.
You can register your credit card in advance to avoid the hassle on auction night; just click qCheck above. You don't have to do this, but if you don't you'll need to present a credit card before receiving your paddle.
The silent auction begins at 6:00 pm and most bidding will end around 7:30pm (an announcement will be made before the tables close.) Teacher Treasures will remain open until 10 minutes after the end of the live auction.
The live auction will feature fabulous vacation homes, one-of-a-kind class art created by children in selected grade levels, and wonderful experiences like the Cliff Valley Sleepover! Well before March 24, you will be able to preview the available items. Please pay attention to all restrictions specified by donors.
The live auction will begin around 7:30.
You may pick items you win up at the end of the Prom or you may obtain them from the CV office during regular school hours.
All auction charges will be processed to your credit card within a few days after the event.
